don't it make you wanna stay

I've got to admit that every time I hear that Dave Matthew's song (Wasting Time) I just get really goofy-silly-happy. It probably has a lot to do with the video that Eric put together to that song. A bunch of clips of mostly him and Ryan and sometimes of some of us periphery friends goofing off. And it makes you wish you could stay. But then you realize you can't and where you're at is just as good and probably better than those perfect little snippets of your past. And then you feel warm and good and squishy and the giant grin erupts and the goofy-silly-happy mood takes over. And life is good.

So this morning when I was dragging and nothing seemed good, I tuned the iPod to that song and even though I was on my way to work on a grey morning, I was dancing in my car and singing along and smiling to myself like a crazy person.
