WEEKLY WEIGH-IN

Ok. I "weighed in" this AM on my scale. 179.8. Not a great number, but it is a 2.8lb decrease from last week! I hope I can keep up that pace... by the wedding (just less than two weeks from now), I could be down to around 174 or so. That'd be nice. :)

Sigh...

I keep slipping into meloncholy moods this weekend. I don't know why, it's sort of annoying.

Just now, I suddenly felt down. Actually, I know why I feel down right now - I'm sleepy and sore from the gym and chilly and was looking forward to snuggling in bed with Alex, but he just called called into work for a case. So that won't happen. :( But he's happy about the overtime, so that's good.

This weekend was a very quiet weekend. We did go out on Friday, but it wasn't a "wild" night or anything. It was one of Alex's coworker's birthday, so we went to a comedy club and had dinner. There were three comics - the first was a local guy and he was functioning as a guest MC and he was pretty good. The second guy was a guy from Pittsburgh who wasn't that good at all. The last was a guy from Philly and he was hysterical. He mostly improv-ed, busting on audience members. He was really good. The club was in a place that has weddings called The State Room so it was a very beautiful setting - which was slightly odd. The dinner was good - typical wedding food. It was all surprisingly expensive, though.

Yesterday, Alex and I cleaned ALL day. I made Honey Roasted Root Vegetables for dinner - which turned out pretty well. We ended up having company after dinner - Amy and Leigh came over to talk wedding. They get married next weekend in Massachusetts and Alex is the best man. Leigh ended up having to go into work for a case, so Amy spent the night in our guest room so that she wouldn't have to go all the way back up to East Jeezuz where they live and then come back down to Albany in the morning to pick Leigh up. It was so exciting to have an overnight guest! Our second already in this apartment! :)

Today was another quiet day. We bummed around the apartment for most of the day, then went out shopping for a little bit and then to the gym. I made pizza for dinner (which Alex seemed to really enjoy) and then we watched Cinderella on DVD (which we just bought). And now I'm very sleepy... So enough of the boring weekend recap post...

AND YET ANOTHER BURST OF MOTIVATION...

Tried on my bridesmaid dress this week. Realized that I have back fat. Yep, lots of back fat pouring out the back of my dress. Hideous. Horrible. Heinous. Realized this on Thursday and made Alex go to the gym with me RIGHT AWAY. Have been (mostly) good since then. Made healthy suppers this weekend - did get a bit carried away once or twice with wheat thins and Helluvagood Five Onion Dip (SO FREAKING GOOD!). But did get to the gym today. Am thinking that I'll try and go to the gym every day - am DEFINITELY going every other day to get my weights workout in, but should probably go on my "off" days as well to make sure I do cardio.

"Weighing in" tomorrow. Hoping for the best... Not expecting much improvement, though, as the first three days of last week were v. bad foodwise.
