Cake and My Birthday and other Randomness

SO...

Sunday was my birthday! Yay!

I turned 26 years old. That makes me definitely in my late twenties. Boo!

All day Saturday, Pa was asking me really loudly what it was like to be thirty. Jerk. ;) I kept reminding him that I still have 4 years before I'm thirty. I mean, geez. When I'm thirty, that'll mean that he's old enough to have a thirty year old daughter and that would make him really old. Geezer. ;)

We saw Cake on my birthday. The band. At Northern Lights in Clifton Park. Sistah bought me a ticket for my birthday. She's a nice sistah. :) We had a great time, even though the band only played for less than an hour. Ah well. S'alright. It was a work night anyway and we old ladies can't stay out too late on work nights.

Speaking of staying out late on a work night, tonight is our company dinner cruise in Lake George! Yay! Should be a fun time. Alex and I will get a ride up with Meredith and Eric - so we can drink, yay! ;) It's open bar. Awesome.

Oh, and next Wednesday is the opening day of the track in Saratoga and we'll be going to a fundraiser dinner for Albany Medical Center. Alex's job got tickets. Apparently, it's $400 a plate. So we're going to hob-nob (sp?) with the rich folks. Fun! Maybe not. But it's going to be a nice dinner - for free! ;) Actually, it should be a good time. I'm excited.

What else... My Mom and RJ are coming for a visit this weekend. They'll be stopping by Saturday night on their way from Pottsville to Niagara Falls and then back to Michigan. Should be a nice visit. This will be the first time she's come to one of my apartments. I've got a bit of cleaning to do....

Yeah.

That's all for now, I guess. I wanted to write a much longer post, but then I realized that I've got SO many other things I should be doing right now: cleaning, paying bills, writing thank you notes. Busy, busy, busy!

Over and out.
