MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Been a while since I posted... Been pretty busy getting Christmas shopping done, sending cards, working, and dealing with more apartment bad luck.

Yep, more apartment bad luck. Grrr.... The ceiling in our bathroom had a small leak, which we notified our landlord about and they did nothing to fix... and so last Friday, the whole ceiling came down and there were gallons of water streaming into our bathroom. Really sucked. They stopped the leak that night but did nothing to clean/fix the bathroom and so Saturday we had buckets of water falling in the bathroom again. To make a long story short (too late!), they pushed off really fixing it until Monday ("normal business hours") and we were left with an unusable bathroom all weekend, without any sort of an offer of alternate housing. They handled everything SO poorly. And now they're dragging their feet on paying for the damaged stuff and blowing me off when I ask about compensation for my time, the inconvenience, and the unacceptable way they handled it. I have a feeling that this will be a fight that will drag on until June when our lease is up. We'll move then - apparently this building is falling apart and they're obviously not able to handle it. I didn't want to have to move so quickly. I wanted to stay here until we were ready to buy a house. We might actually look into doing that, though, so exciting things might be happening soon. Maybe...

Anyway, I didn't want to think about all of that again until after the holidays so...

Today, I'll be baking cookies, finishing up a few last minute shopping things, wrapping gifts, and watching Christmas movies all day. Ahhh... I love Christmas time! :)
