Was it bombarded in WWII? If so, how badly? Just want to make sure what I will see is not something restored after the war.

What a strange statement Solo2007.

I think I am trying to say if 70% of the abbey is rebuilt, I will be
disappointed. Waht's wrong with that?

But if it's restored to the way it was before the war why would you be disappointed? It's not like they rebuilt it using cinderblock and vinyl siding. The restored it to it's former glory.

I found this exchange on the TripAdvisor.com London board to be hilarious. Alex thinks I'm weird.

Being a girl...

Sucks.

Well, not usually, just really one week out of the month. Or, if you're "lucky" like, me, one week and about half a week leading up to it. It always sneaks up on me and before I know it, I'm biting people's heads off. Usually on a Wednesday I start snapping at people. Then by Friday I'm completely irrational and over reactive. Oh, and I'll cry at the drop of a hat. By Sunday the cramps have started and become crippling. My bitchiness and tendency to want to cry continues until it starts to subside around Thursday. By Saturday, I'm completely back to normal.

Being that today is Sunday, I'm suffering from cramps so bad that unless I lay in a very particular position on the sofa, I can't stand it. I always forget that the extreme bitchiness is coming until it's too late. I lashed out at a friend on Friday and now I feel like a complete ass about it. Usually it's Alex who gets the brunt of my hormonal horrors and at least he immediately recognizes what's going on and puts me in my place. Today, he's been great - he made me breakfast and has been doing the laundry so I don't have to drag my butt back and forth to the basement.

Of course, checking the calendar, I realize now that I've set myself up for a marvelous week and a half before our wedding. I'm sure that I'll be off the wall dealing with details around that time anyway so this on top of it all will be great. Just perfect.
