oh. my. god. packing sucks ass. i am never going to finish this. oh dear lord... i've packed 9 boxes today and i still have a ton of stuff in my room... suck suck suckedy suck. i've been keeping organized while i do it though... i'm labeling all of the boxes with a box #, the contents, and where it should go when it gets to the apartment... i'm also keeping a spreadsheet of everything. lets see if i can keep this up through the rest of my packing though.. i can't wait to just get into my apartment again and look around :) when i get the keys i'm gonna go measure everything and then make a little floorplan so i can play at arranging my furniture before i bring the stuff in... (i am just so hella excited...)... i'm all depressed right now because my room is all a mess; it looks like i went around and tore everything out and dumped it in the middle of the floor... and i have family members using my room saturday night, so i have to get it presentable by then... but right now i'm going to pass out... and finish watching Turner and Hooch. What an awful movie... what the hell kind of dog is hooch anyway? a big disgusting drool monster? eww. morelater...

so i was working on my table today, and it was slow progress (although today the finish was coming off much better & faster) and then the phone rang and it was my dad. he asked me what i was doing and i said that i was working on my table and it was hard work and my back and hand were starting to hurt and then he said, "you know, i have a belt sander out there that will take off that finish in a gnat's heartbeat" and i couldn't believe that he said "in a gnat's heartbeat" and then i couldn't believe that he watched me work on that table and be frustrated with it for a week before he decided to tell me... :) ah well. i went out and bought new belts for it, and i'm going to start back at that table tomorrow... i can't wait to be finished with it... morelater...

"i have become comfortably numb"

BORED!!!

this work day will never end (i only have 1/2 hr left...)!! I'm going to die of boredom sitting here. BLAH. This whole week seems to be crawling by, actually... i guess that's because I'm excited about my new apartment :) I want my landlord to call, like right now, and say "ok, you can come pick up your keys"... anyway... i have nothing of substance to say right now... morelater...

so... packing is going to suck. suck. ugh. i keep looking around my room thinking, "oh my God, i have to pack all this?" ugh. i don't even know where to begin... i suppose i should start soon... if it's raining again tomorrow i'll pack more, if not i'll work on painting my table... i have two projects i have to work on now...

i'm so gay... i couldn't go to sleep last night 'cause i was so excited about my apartment, and then i woke up at like 630 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep... :) I'm just so happy :) I'm going to make little moving cards to send out to people... i need to work on my kitchen table now... it's going pretty slowly... i'm trying to strip the finish off and then paint it red, but stripping the finish off is hella annoying, and i wish i'd just not bothered to do it (although, it'll look better in the end...). but they wouldn't have bothered to strip the finish off on trading spaces... morelater...

I GOT AN APARTMENT!! :) Yay! it's very cute... you can see pictures of it here. It's going to be available for me to move in by this sunday! YAY! It's right within the price range that i was looking for, and it's pretty big, and it's right around the corner from where I work and from school... i'm hella excited! the neighborhood is very nice... residential and quiet... there's even a little league field right around the corner :) I'm so relieved that I found a place and that it's so cute! I'm actually too excited to even write about it right now... so i'll write morelater...

Camping... continued...
Saturday:so beck and i woke up early saturday because the ground was hard... we went to the pancake house for breakfast and paid exorbitant prices for decent food. I had a hot chocolate that came in a large, brightly colored mug with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cookie... it looked like a kid's drink (which was kinda embarrasing) but it was really good (it should be, for $2.50)... then we went shopping at the outlets (yeah, we were roughing it camping...) where becky got two pairs of really cute red shoes. I've decided that red shoes are lucky for me, so i hope they're lucky for Beck as well... the one pair was from the nine west outlet and they were hella cute and hella cheap: they're red patent leather high heels and they were only $20... i should have got a pair as well... anyway... Eric and Sarah were at camp by the time we got back from shopping so we all went to price chopper and the liquor store and got "essentials"... we went to the beach later on where eric and sarah made a turtle in the sand and we all went in the lake... you couldn't really swim in the swimming areas because even the "deep" part only went up to your knees, and the lifeguards were hella paranoid. they were blowing their whistles every two minutes telling kids to get away from the ropes etc... we had a good time though... later on we went back to camp and made hot dogs (and eric tried to make chicken kabobs that he got at Price Chopper but the chicken chunks were too big and it took forever to cook)... becky introduced me to Gin and Tonics which are hella yummy and perhaps my new favorite drink (and they're hella easy to make, too). later on, beck and i walked into the village and got tarot readings done (yeah, they were bad wrong... mine said that i was supposed to get back together with tim <- whatever) and then had an old-time photo taken (we dressed as whores)... when we got in front of the camera they asked us if we wanted to hold guns, bottles, or cards and i said "bottles" right away (and then we laughed cause it was a little obvious that we'd been drinking)... we were pretty much on the verge of hysterics when they were taking the pictures... at one point he asked us to be serious and i was like, "i don't think we can!" anyway... the picture came out pretty good (i'll scan a copy and post it with the rest of the camping pics)... The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful... we had a great time though :) maybe we'll go again, but like camp outside of hershey park next time or something... morelater...

so camping was great.... i'm going to post the (few) pics i took soon.
Friday: There was no way that Beck was going to make it on time from Poughkeepsie in the upstate bound traffic to meet me in CP and leave in time to make it to the campsite before 9 (we had to get there by then or we'd lose the reservations). so we decided that i should go up ahead and set up camp and then Beck would meet me up there. So I rushed around my house, throwing crap in my car and then ran to wal-mart and bought a lantern and a tent (yeah, i didn't have one until about a half hour before i left to go camping) and then raced up to Lake George. I got to the campsite at about 20 after 8 and immediately began to set up the tent. It was hella easy to set up, and it was much cuter than i thought it was going to be. It has mesh on two sides and the rain fly is clear plastic at the top so you can still see the sky with the rain fly on, and it came with a "gear loft" which could hold a flashlight so you could light the interior of the tent. I was happy with it, and it only cost me $40 :) anyway... so by the time i finished setting up my tent and my cute amazing camping love seat (which i got back from tim... yeah, there's kinda a story there... maybe i'll post about that later...) it was pretty dark out. so i got my new lantern from the car and turned it upside down to put the batteries in - and the two flourescent tubes fell out. i picked them up and put them back in thinking that it was poorly made, and then i realized that there was a piece missing. it didn't have a top part which conneceted to the tubes so it wouldn't work. i was hella annoyed. so then i had to sit there in the dark alone until beck got there (luckily she brought a lantern) ... we hung out at the site for a little bit and then walked into the village. it wasn't far at all, but it was kinda raining and there didn't seem to be that many people out (and the bars were all playing lame-ass slow music) so we went back to camp and sat in the tent drinking and talking until we were so tired that all we were saying was nonsense (i started to tell becky about a hyper hi-liter and then i realized that i was pretty much asleep).
I just got hella lazy and i don't want to post anymore. blah. i'll write morelater...
