6 Weeks to Go!! Six weeks! Six weeks from right now we'll be there!!
I'm so excited I could pee my pants. ;)
So, because Disney is all I can think about right now, I figured I'd post my planned itinerary for our trip. Keep in mind that I don't actually expect that we'll be really following this to the letter, but planning has been fun. :)
Sunday, Oct 1
4:30 am. Wake up. 0430 - what does the "O" stand for? Oh my God, it's early. Get in the car and drive to the airport.
5:00 am. We should get to the airport by this time... Check in at the Delta counter. Grab a oh-so-healthy McDonald's breakfast at the airport.
6:00 am. Our flight takes off!!
11:07 am. Our flight lands in Orlando!! Go find the line for Disney's Magical Express. The shuttle service is free for Disney Resort guests right now and it's pretty cool because they totally take care of your bags for you: you check them at the airport you're departing from and they deliver them right to your hotel room. Then, when you go home, you can check your bags at the resort and you don't have to deal with them again until you get to baggage claim at home.
12:30 pm. Arrive at Board Walk Villas (BWV) and check in. Room won't be ready yet, so we'll leave our bags and head into the parks. We'll probably go to Epcot first since we can walk to the International Gateway entrance (the back door of the park). We might jump on the monorail and head over to the Magic Kingdom.
4:00 pm. Go back to BWV where room should be ready. Shower, clean up, and get ready for dinner. Probably also nap as we got up at the ass-crack of dawn.
7:30 pm. Dinner reservations at the California Grill. This restaurant is at the top of the Contemporary Resort and has awesome views of the Magic Kingdom. We ate there last time and saw Wishes the fireworks show from the Magic Kingdom during dinner. The food is awesome and this was Alex's one request for our trip this year.
10:00 pm. I dunno. There are Extra Magic Hours (EMH) at the Magic Kingdom that night, so we might go back and do the Magic Kingdom at night. Or we might go to the Board Walk and go to Jellyrolls - a dueling piano bar that was awesome last time we were there.
Monday, October 2
9:00 am. Get up. I don't get up and go all crazy park-Nazi touring of the parks.
10:00 am Head over to MGM so that we can ride Tower of Terror and Rock and Roller Coaster. Have lunch in the park. See a bunch of stuff...
5:00 pm Head back to the BWV and rest/clean up for dinner.
7:30 pm Dinner reservations at Le Cellier, which is the steakhouse in the Canada pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. People on the Disney Boards are all freaking out about how great this place is, so I really want to try it. Also, they have Maple Creme Brulee and that combines two of my favorite things ever (OMG, maple... mmmm....) so I really can't wait for that.
9:30 pm If we're done with dinner by this time, we'll watch IllumiNations, the fireworks show over the lagoon in the World Showcase in Epcot. It's awesome. After that... I dunno. Downtown Disney to go to DisneyQuest (a huge "indoor interactive theme park" [fancy arcade] that Alex was enthralled with last time)? Back to Jellyrolls?
Tuesday, October 3
9:00 am. Wake up...
10:00 am. Head to Animal Kingdom. Can't wait to ride Expedition Everest, which is the brand new coaster there that sounds awesome. Do the Kilimanjaro Safari and the animal trails and grab lunch.
4:30 pm. I dunno. We might head back to the BWV now to clean up before dinner because we're going to a "signature" restaurant tonight and we'll probably get all sweaty-nasty at the Animal Kingdom. But, dinner is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and it takes so long to travel between places by the resort buses... so I'm not sure.
6:00 pm. Dinner reservations at Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Haven't dined here yet, but have heard great things about it, so I'm pretty excited for it. :)
9:00 pm. Maybe hit the Magic Kingdom to see Wishes from Main St. Or go to Downtown Disney or Jellyrolls. Good times.
Wednesday, Oct 4
9:00 am. Wake up...
10:00 am. Head to Epcot. Hit Soarin' which is the newest attraction at Epcot and is supposed to simulate hanggliding - and is supposedly very cool. Ride Test Track and Mission Space and check out some of the other pavilions in Future World (the front part of Epcot). Grab lunch at some of the Food and Wine Festival booths as we tour the World Showcase.
7:40 pm. Dinner reservations at the Rose & Crown. We'll try and get a patio seat so that we can watch IllumiNations from our table. If not, they apparently let you go to their patio to watch it during dinner. Should be awesome.
9:30 pm. There are EMH at Epcot tonight, so we might hang out for a while and do some rides over again. Or, again, we might head to Downtown Disney or Jellyrolls.
Thursday, Oct 5
It's our last full day in Disney. :( No real plan for the day here. Alex keeps mentioning golfing, so if he wants to do that I'll head to Downtown Disney to shop or go resort hopping.
5:50 pm. Dinner reservations at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. Another place that I haven't tried yet but is supposed to be awesome.
8:00 pm. Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Actually, I wish we could get here a little earlier than that because if we get here at 8, we'll miss the Headless Horseman riding through before the parade. Should be a fun time, no matter what. There are two parades and a special Halloween themed Wishes show. Oh, and we can go trick-or-treating if we want. ;)
Friday, Oct 6
9:00 am. Wake up...
10:45 am. Check out of BWV. :( Do resort airline check-in so that we can leave our bags and not worry about them again until we get home.
11:30 am. Head to Magic Kingdom and do whatever. Get lunch at Casey's Corner before we head back to the BWV to catch the Magical Express back to the airport. We had lunch there on our last day last time and Alex suggested it could be a tradition for us. We shared mini corn dogs dipped in cheese sauce. Mmmm...
3:30 pm. Get on Magical Express and head to airport.
6:24 pm. Our flight departs Orlando.
11:31 pm. Arrive back in Albany. :(
Well. That was obsessive. But I can't wait!!!! :)
