David's Birthday

David turned 21 today! Amy made him spaghetti (at his request) and
baked him a cake. Alex and I came over for this early part of the
party. Right about now, they're piling in a limo with a bunch of his
friends to go (legally!) drinking in Albany. Ah, the Wavid. Almost an
adult. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Alex gave me a wonderful Valentine's day: he gave me a box of
chocolate covered strawberries and made dinner last night. Then, today
he sent me flowers at work (I was the only person at the office who
had flowers delivered to me - the women in the office "oohed and
ahhed" while the men all stared with pursed lips as if to say, "that
guy's a dick."). Then he took me to dinner at One Caroline in
Saratoga - which was awesome. I'm so spoiled! ;)

4 Wheel Drive ROCKS!!

The timing couldn't have been better: I picked up my brand new all
wheel drive vehicle the night we get a lot of crappy snow. I drove to
the dealership in my (adorable) Beetle, slightly sliding all over the
place. It snowed the entire time we were in the dealership and the
roads were pretty shitty by the time we left. I had no trouble
driving around, though! I couldn't believe how awesome the 4 wheel
drive made the car in the snow!! It was amazing!!! I didn't get to
drive all that much today - just to work and back - but I did go to
lunch away from the offive so that I "had" to drive. ;) Awesome!!!

Yay! New Car For Me!!

Turns out I had nothing to worry about. For as sketchy as that tool from the dealership sounded when he called me on Saturday, it turned out to be no big deal. My APR went from 4.9% to 5.9%, which effected my payment by $8. So I'll be picking up my car tomorrow night - Yay!!!!

Can't wait! I will really miss the Beetle, though. :( Actually, I get all watery when I think about it. Gus was a really great car! I hope that he goes to some kid as their first car and they're super excited about it. Or maybe to some little old lady that will take great care of him. Sigh. Bye Gus!

OK. I actually might cry now... Gus is so cute!!! :( I know I'm totally going to be in love with my new car - especially the morning after I pick him up, since it's supposed to snow a lot and my new car has 4 wheel drive... But endings and goodbyes are always hard for me. God, I'm a tool!
