so...
Tuesday evening I went straight to WW from work. I signed up and got in line for the middle scale. I don't know why, but I always went to the middle scale when I was weighing in last time I was losing weight. So yeah. The scale was less than what my scale at home would have said. I think I remember from last time that my scale at home was always consistently 3 lbs higher. So yeah. I've got about 24 lbs that I want to lose. I can do it, I'm sure. I mean, I lost 60 lbs last time. I'm oddly nervous about it though. Like, for some reason I'm worried that I'll do everything right and that for some reason it won't work. I'm crazy. Anyway, so Carrie's meeting was awesome :) She's so high energy, and she has good control over the group without it feeling like a lecture. And her members really seem to love her. So that rocks. Next week I start helping out before the 7:00 meeting as a greeter. I'm excited that Carrie was able to help me out and get me this "job" because otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford to go to the meetings. :)
After the meeting (I stayed for the "getting started" session because the plan has changed since I did it last... I love the changes) I ran home and made a very quick PB&J (3 points) and stuffed it in my mouth as I ran out the door to get in Meredith's car to go to the LAOH meeting. It was a good time, though I'm not allowed to reveal any of the goings on ;) Afterwards Meredith and I went to The Fountain (a pub right near my house) so that I could get some dinner: Guinness (3) and French Onion Soup (6). And I even stayed within my points that day!
Wednesday I went to the gym after work and busted my ass on the treadmill and elliptical machine. I went home and talked to Dodi on the phone for a bit, and then talked to Alex who was able to get OT at work, but therefore was unable to come over. :( Ah well. I was stinky/sweaty from the gym anyway and not in the mood to take a shower and I also had plenty of chores to do. So I got to the chores: I un-decorated the tree and then disassembled it. I had to throw out the tree skirt (2nd one this season!!!) because Molly and Dude had decided that it was an indoor litter box and, well, ew. I mopped the floor underneath and trashed the skirt. I brought the tub on wheels from the porch that I bought at Wal-Mart and had to clean off that as well, because for some reason Molly peed on it. EW!! My cats are disgusting. So after cleaning off the frozen pee (and wanting to vomit) I filled the tub with my Christmas. I de-Christmased the entire apartment and was able to fit it all in the tub on wheels. I even stuck my Christmas wrapping paper stuff in there as well, so all of Christmas is in one place. Rock! After de-Christmasing the apartment, I cleaned out the kitty litter box that has a handle on top of it and I placed it right outside of my kitchen door. I now put it inside th eapartment when I leave, and when I'm home I stick it out on the porch (and I bring it in overnight). So now I don't have to worry about having a potentially smelly box inside the house or having the cats just go somewhere because they have no access. After I was done with that, I was exhausted and went to bed...
Thursday I went directly home after work! Yay! First time this week! I did my dishes and devoured a Nutri-Grain bar (3). I was planning on cooking dinner: WW Chinese Orange Chicken (5), white rice (4), and string beans (0). I didn't. Alex came over directly from work and we were going to go see Big Fish but we decided not too (too cold outside, too late at night), so we stayed in an ordered Chinese food instead (had a coupon... and it was too late to start cooking). We ate our Chinese food and drank red wine and both passed out on the sofa before 11. We're such gomers ;)
So yeah. The week's been good. Busy, but good. I've been able to stay within my points, and I've been making it to the gym. We'll see how this goes... I'm so glad it's Friday and I don't have to be at work for 2 days. That rules. Work is oddly quiet today. Not the phones, but the people. We're all just sitting here, quietly doing our work (or posting to our blogs... damn!). It sounds like a Saturday. I hope the afternoon goes quick... I can't wait to get out of here!

I don't think I'll ever know how many licks it takes to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop. I always lose count. And then just bite the fucker.
So Saturday night I was up until about 4am playing with the site and organizing pictures on my hard drive. I guess that's what boredom will do to you :) Sunday was quiet... went home and did laundry... met dodi for dinner & then watched SATC at her apt... came home and went to bed. (note: did none of the chores other than the laundry that I'd planned on doing).
Today: went to work. Uneventful day. Carrie thinks she'll be able to get me a job as a greeter at her 5:30 weight watcher meetings, so that would give me a very nice discount and be absolutely fabulous. I'd not joined yet, even though I'm dying to lose some weight again and need some help, because I'm so asspoor. Ugh. But at least Carrie helped me figure out fitting WW into my "budget." Now I just have to stress about paying my monthly gym dues of $32. How ghetto is that, that I'm worried about spending an extra $32/month? Sigh.
So no huge updates. I meant to, but then I went to the gym and came home and watched Teen Witch on HBO (what a cheesey movie) and now I'm just done. I'm totally ready to pass out. I think I'm going to make myself do the dishes at least. I'm totally embarrassed that my tree is still up and that the cat litter is still dirty, but I guess I have to own it and just do a little at a time. I was thinking that I'd get shit done tomorrow night and that I'd be all good and cook dinner, but after the WW meeting I've got the LAOH meeting at 7:30, and I've got no idea when I'll be getting home. Hopefully not too late! (Probably not, because the ladies at that meeting are all old... that was kind of mean, but kind of true.)
So yeah. Starting WW tomorrow (well, actually started it today, but going to meetings starting tomorrow). Found a site on women and weight lifting that is very interesting. The woman who writes it is pretty funny too. This is what she writes about the dietary supplement, Fat Trapper: "Sure, it traps the fat, and where do you think all that clumped fat goes if you don't digest it? Buy yourself some adult diapers with every bottle of Fat Trapper, and stock up on fat-soluble vitamins to replace what gets leached out of your body. Unless you think anal leakage is sexy, don't bother. Same with Olestra. Remember, we digest our food for a reason! Throw Fat Trapper and Olestra into the toilet (for a realistic effect, shoot it out of a shotgun from across the room to simulate the explosive colonic action you'd experience from eating it), and eliminate the middle man." I was pretty hysterical after I read that. A lot of her other articles are just as entertaining, and I think her site is definitely worth a look.
Well, now that I feel like I've written a completely unintelligent, wandering post... It's time to do the dishes. :(
