ok, so i reread the email that the seller sent me on this beetle that i love about the moonroof and i realized that i read it wrong. moonroof and sunroof are interchangeable when referring to the beetle apparently. the roof can be raised a little or open all the way for this little bug. which makes it my perfect beetle. i must own it. i can even swing the buy it now price. rock! so so so need that car. so need it. i'm going to see about getting a loan online with my dad's help tonight and the auction ends saturday. i'm placing a bid on it, but i'm worried that the reserve might not be met and i won't get it... or worse, what if someone outbids me? i keep wanting to just "buy it now" because then i'd know it will be mine (oh yes, it will be mine), but i might be able to get it cheaper by bidding. i so need that car. i freaking love the color. and it's got everything i want: turbo, sunroof, manual. rock!!!!!

so these are the beetles that i'm interested in... i love this one. it is just too cute. adorable. and it's turbo :) but it has a moonroof and not a sunroof. i want a sunroof :( but that one is so cute. this one says it has a sunroof, but i don't know if it's really a sunroof or if it's also a moonroof (note: sunroof slides open the whole way, moonroof pushes up). that one is the same color as the one that i test drove yesterday. i like the deep blue, but i think i like the bright blue of that other car a bit better. i was looking at this one as well, but i think i've ruled that one out because i'm not sure how much damage the flood actually caused, and the carfax report on it just wasn't too pretty... said it had four owners already. i'm thinking that's not such a good thing. the thing that i loved about that one was it was silver (cute!!) and it had a sunroof (awesome!!). but yeah, no. no thanks on the "reconditioned" beetle. this one is a 2001 and it's dark blue and it lists a sunroof (but again, not sure if it's actually a sunroof or if it's a moonroof), but it has scratches on the pass door. the listing states that it's an easy repair and that the dealership could do that, so i emailed them to see how much that repair would run. i don't think i'd be able to get that one though, i think the reserve price would be out of my range... i am so in love with this one. it's so cute. so freaking adorable. it's exactly what i'm looking for. turbo. sunroof. manual. 2000. red. but it has 67000 miles on it. and that's a lot. so i shouldn't go for it. dammit! so cute!

so yeah. i probably won't end up with any of those. i'll never actually bid on them because i'll figure that they're out of my range or not a good deal etc. and there are new listings, like, every day. that first one is pretty much perfect, right what i'm looking for and within my range (looks like it, anyways) but it doesn't have the sunroof... and i think i need the full open sunroof. that was just too fun driving the little beetle with the sunroof open the other day... i'll probably never find the beetle i'm looking for in my price range. it's got to be at the earliest a 99. it has to be manual. i'd like the turbo beetle (because i like need to drive fast and because it just sounds cooler: "this is my turbo beetle"). i'd love a sunroof (but i guess i'd deal with just a moonroof if it came down to it... i just really want the convertible beetle above all, but i know i can't afford it, so i'd love a sunroof because it's the closest i'm gonna get to a convertible). and the acceptable colors are: silver (prob my first choice, doesn't show dirt/scratches so much), cobalt blue (that's not the official beetle name, but it's the bright blue that the first car was), indigo blue (that dark, almost navy blue - very pretty), or red (come on now, no explanation is necessary for a red car).

yeah. i might go back to the vw dealership. the salesguy (dave who is bill) emailed me today: "Please let me know if I can assist you any furthur with your Beetle shopping." he was a nice guy, and i'd like to give him a commision (apparently it's slow right now) but i don't think he'd be able to make a good enough deal for me to be able to afford it. it'd be nice to buy a beetle from a dealer though. especially that one, 'cause it was a certified pre-owned with a warrenty etc. but... i don't think that was turbo ;)

yay! i went to drive a beetle and it was so fun yay! i keep talking like the retard from crank yankers yay!

so yeah. i went down to the local volkswagen dealership on my lunch with meredith today to test drive a beetle. it was very cute. :) i test drove a 2000 GLS. it was adorable. it had a sunroof, but that was really the only major option added. It was "indigo blue" (a very dark navy that almost looks black in the shade but shines a deep purple-y blue). It was a standard (awesome) and it drove so smoothly. it was very patient with me (it's been a while since i drove a standard). my salesguy was named bill, and he was also very patient with me. i didn't stall the car at all though. so rock! :) but when i went to start driving i forgot all about the emergency break and it made this loud groaning sound. hella embarrassing. but i found out that the e-break works :) Yeah. so i took it on a short test drive. very fun. i loved the sunroof. totally getting one with a sunroof. :) rock! yeah... i kept busting on bill. but for some reason i kept calling him dave. i'm weird. dave seemed desperate to sell the car. he's like, yeah. it's slow around here. we're asking $15,995 for the car, but that's just the asking price. come back and i'll make you a deal... but i don't think he'd be able to make me as good a deal as i'd get through ebay. yeah dude, knock $6k off the price and we'll talk. i don't think that'll happen. yeah.

but i had great fun driving the little beetle. totally need one. it'll take some getting used to... i'm so used to my little saturn that even a little bug seemed big. rock! it's so cute! i need one!

so. gettin' a new car. rock!! i am so excited. i've decided that i'm getting a vw bug (but i also really like the golfs for some reason, so if i found a great deal on a cute golf it'll be mine). i think i'm getting one offa ebay. and i think i'm getting one very soon. my dad's going to give me $2000 for my saturn, and i'm looking to spend $10k or less on the "new" car. Rock!!! i better get a new car quick, because i totally have been unable to pay attention to my job for the past two days. i'm all surfing ebay for cars and checking insurance quotes etc... i keep finding good deals on cars in florida, so it looks like i'll have to go down there to pick it up. but rock! bonus trip to florida! (too bad i'll be all strapped for cash and alone so i'll have to just drive directly home). actually, that's hella exciting. i should drop by my brother's in south carolina on the way back. Rock! i am so excited!

it's funny. i used to hate the new beetles. i thought they looked stupid, like little toys or barbie cars or something. but now i love them. i want a little barbie car. i'll be barbie. :) i'm insurance adjuster barbie. or out on her own midge or something like that :) that's gay. i'm so gay. :) (i'm just all happy and hella excited about a cute new car! :)

so there's this house for sale in vischer ferry right next to the firehouse and beck keeps telling me to buy it. like i'm in any position to buy a house. and i can't figure out why i have to buy that house. and it's probably haunted. but according to beck i have to buy it. i think it's because it's right down the street from her house and even though she's only home on the weekends that's apparently important. she explained that if she was crashing there (like if we had a big drunken party there which apparently we could only do at that house) and she forgot her toothbrush it wouldn't be a big deal because she could just walk home and get it. so yeah. beck: i'm not buying that house. sorry.

i walked during my lunch today. i rule!! but i suck really because i did absolutely no work today. suck. all i did was look at VW Beetles on ebay. i want one. i'm gonna bid on one... $6k. if i don't get it, ah well. but if i do... rock! :)

my bank hates me. i have like, $4.18 in my bank account until i get my paycheck tomorrow. it's direct deposit and all, so it'll be instantaneous. Meredith's bank has it in her account already. whatever. i hate fleet. suck. so i don't get my money until tomorrow. that really sucks.

so why is it that every time i make it to work on time or early my supervisor happens to be out that day? what the hell. irritating. and you know she'll be in the rest of the week and i'll end up being late the rest of the week. suck.
