A Quickie...

Fun weekend, but busy and I'm exhausted! Thurs was Alive @ Five with Enter the Haggis - awesome show, but it was VERY hot out and Alex was dying so he was a little grumpy. Still had a great time! I felt bad that he was so hot. :( Friday was Greenwich Meantime at the Parting Glass - gret show!! Lots of fun! Saturday was the Herkimer Irish Fest - saw GMT, HOTD, and ETH along with some other bands. Had an excellent time, though there were some scary moments - there was a tornado watch and two songs into HOTD's set we had to evacuate the tent. There was wind, rain, hail, thunder and lightening - lightening hit a tree that was just on the other side of the tent... I was so scared I almost burst out crying. We had to run in the rain to a permanent pavillion where we stayed with hundreds of other people waiting out the storm. We were lucky because we got up on the stage area which was protecte from the wind and rain and we weren't sardined in with the rest of the folks. After the storm passed, the festival picked right up again - there was even a sign outside of one of the food booths proclaiming, "Even in the rain - you keep drinking, we'll keep cooking!"
