Congrats Amy & Leigh!
So, this past weekend, Amy and Leigh tied the knot at Mount Holyoke College in Amherst, MA. The weekend was SO much fun, beginning with the large and lively rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Amy surprised everyone by singing to Leigh - something she said was an Italian tradition. She sang "All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera, and she did a great job. I totally cried. :)
The ceremony on Saturday was beautiful. The chapel was gorgeous and the weather actually cleared up. Amy looked amazing - her dress was a gorgeous ivory colored A-line with beading and embroidery along the bustline and at the bottom of the gown. Leigh picked out very classy black Ralph Lauren tuxes with a subtle grey pinstripe and black ties & vests for his boys. He wore a white tie & vest. The bridesmaids were in red tea length dresses with spaghetti straps and a sash around the waist. Amy had a small group of friends sing while she & Leigh lit the unity candle and those girls did a great job! It was very moving.
The reception was at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst. It was a great time. The placecards were attached to small pumpkins - so cute! Dinner was very good, consisting of pumpkin soup and salmon or beef. Alex - who looked amazing in his tux - did a great job on his Best Man toast, even though he was nervous. They had a band called Retro which played 70s music and they were AWESOME. Dancing was so much fun!
It was such a great weekend. I've got pictures posted here. Beck and Kevin's wedding is this weekend and now I'm SO excited! Yay!
